Mount Plenty… Stromboli is a suitable name for this huge yield, high THC (20%+) autoflowering plant. Just like its volcano namesake this hybrid will erupt, with an all-consuming cascade of full flavor lava and the kind of potency which will make the ground shake.

This potent pocket volcano has many additional stand out qualities, from its sturdy form to extra density in flower production which makes it a huge yielder for an auto. As for the terpenes, growers can expect a profile as intense as a smouldering magma chamber.

For the parentage, selected Afghani landraces have been combined with a unique sativa leaning phenotype of the notorious hard hitter, GG4 (formerly known as Gorilla Glue), along with the necessary ruderalis genes to give it the automatic flowering timer.

So let’s take a closer look at the terpene profile which underpins the fragrance and taste of Stromboli. In the grow room, wafts of pine and fruitiness are the characteristic scents. In the taste test the layers are more complex.

The pinene influence is still there – pine freshness, with a grassy hint on the top of the tongue and spicy kick to the back of the throat. On the after taste, the palate is treated to notes of passion fruit, sweet but also with a subtle tartness.

Stromboli needs no special treatment and its journey from dormant to eruption is a straight forward trajectory. A pleasure to grow for beginners and old pros will also appreciate the easy management aspect. It’s compact nature (it won’t exceed 1 meter in height) makes it a great fit for even the smallest of grow spaces.

As with all autoflowering varieties, this one is a perfect fit for any outdoor grow. In northern regions growers can benefit from the full strength of the midsummer sun and outdoor cannabis seed growers all over have the potential to reap 2-4 harvests during the season depending on climate. Although this is sativa dominant, the large buds will be more vulnerable to mold so growers should be vigilant if humidity levels begin to rise.

Plants are compact and bush like, with broad dark green fan leaves and the Afghani influence produces a plant which won’t stretch too much, with all that development spreading sideways. Flowers emerge from its expansive canopy, producing buds which rise like mini volcanoes, big and chunky (reflecting the indica side of the plant) and mostly crystal white but with flecks of fiery orange pistils.

Growers have been warned! This is an extremely potent plant and the effect is a sudden and rather intense explosion. From the sativa side there is a dramatic surge of positive energy up through the body and out the top of the head, accompanied by a wave of body relaxation which bubbles beneath with the power of molten lava flow.
